🕌 Masjid Mash’ar al-Haram (مسجد مشعر الحرام)

Masjid Mash’ar al-Haram is a significant mosque located in Muzdalifah, at the very site where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stood and made du’a (supplication) during his Farewell Hajj (Hajjat al-Wida).

The term Mash’ar al-Haram translates to “The Sacred Monument”, symbolizing its deep spiritual value in the rites of Hajj.

📖 Mention in the Qur’an

Allah ﷻ refers to this sacred site in the Qur’an:

“Then when you pour down from (Mount) Arafat, remember Allah at the Sacred Monument, and remember Him as He has guided you, for indeed you were before that among those astray.”
(Surah al-Baqarah 2:198)

🤲 Du’a of the Prophet ﷺ at Mash’ar al-Haram

The Prophet ﷺ spent the night at Muzdalifah during his Farewell Hajj. After offering Fajr salah, he mounted his camel and proceeded to Mash’ar al-Haram. There, he dismounted, faced the Qiblah, and made du’a, glorifying Allah and declaring His Oneness.

This shows that Mash’ar al-Haram is a special part of Muzdalifah, though not all of Muzdalifah is considered Mash’ar al-Haram.
